Vampyric Energies {Coalesce in the Glittering Towers of Time}

28” x 28” x 76”

Laser cut acrylic, cast epoxy resin, extruded acrylic, dyed beeswax, laser print imagery of the blood of christ, digitally manipulated and 3d printed goblets, angels, and spires, 10” speakers wired in sequence, live mosquitos.

Vampyric Energies is an altar to parasitic communion, drawing upon the haunting elegance of the mosquito as a vessel of extraction. In this sculptural intervention, the insect becomes a cipher for blood, how once taken, re-enters the ecosystem as a cycle of consumption, transformation, and communion, its bite becoming a portal between bodies and networks. This sculpture emerged from a collision of found objects and algorithmically manipulated forms. 3D printing, laser cutting, resin casting, and projection became tools of vivisection, mapping a hybrid terrain where blood, code, and contamination coexist. The hand is not abandoned, but haunted — guided by machines, and tainted by ghost data, as meaning oozes from the processes: viscous, unstable, and alive.
