Created over the span of two years, this ritual sculpture is a testament to mystical and arcane secrets lost. Adorned with charms and images of a graveyard ritual, this piece innermost chamber holds a most profound secret. A flourishing mold, nurtured from the essence of ancient grave stones, has thrived and intertwined itself into a crystal formation. This fusion is the result of a mysterious ritual, shrouded in moonlight and whispered prayers that resonated through the night. The sculpture is my testament to the balance between life and the death, an embodiment of nature's alchemical power. Bridging the realms of the living and the ethereal, and encapsulating an object of desperation to connect with those lost. Birch found in upstate New York, tomb mold gathered from Caballero Rivero cemetery, ceremonious tea lights, various charms found around Miami, plexiglass heat formed while on honeymoon with my wife, black wax grown into the divine black flame of Lucifer, eight images of alchemical putrefaction transferred onto metal given to me by a lifelong friend, black & white polaroid images of a graveyard ritual, resin, plexi-rod, scrap wood doused in oil and set alight.
